  1. Have you experienced or witnessed a traumatic event that was distressing or life-threatening?

  1. Single Incident Trauma: Traumatic events that occur in a specific moment, such as accidents, assaults, natural disasters, or witnessing a traumatic event.

  2. Complex Trauma: Prolonged or repetitive traumatic experiences, often stemming from childhood abuse, neglect, or ongoing interpersonal violence.

  3. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Symptoms include intrusive memories, nightmares, flashbacks, and heightened arousal following exposure to a traumatic event.

  4. Childhood Trauma: Trauma experienced during childhood that may impact emotional and psychological development. This includes neglect, physical or sexual abuse, or witnessing domestic violence.

  5. Accumulative Trauma: A series of smaller traumas that collectively impact an individual's well-being, often seen in people who have experienced ongoing stressors or adverse life events.

  6. Military Trauma: Trauma resulting from combat experiences, military sexual trauma, or other events related to military service.

  7. Sexual Assault and Abuse Trauma: Trauma related to sexual assault, abuse, or harassment, which can have long-lasting emotional and psychological effects.

  8. Medical Trauma: Trauma stemming from serious medical diagnoses, treatments, surgeries, or experiences in medical settings.

  9. Grief and Loss: Trauma associated with the death of a loved one, whether sudden or anticipated.

  10. Community Violence: Trauma caused by exposure to violence in one's community, such as shootings or other acts of violence.
